Inter-school
|
The Interschool TECHNOBIZAD enactment competition is based on a cross-curricular link established between ICT and Business. This competition has completed its 5th year of success and is running on its second year as an inter-school competition. This event took place at the Winchester School Jebel Ali on the 2nd November 2015.
The enthusiastic contestants were from various schools and backgrounds, namely The Cambridge International School, Our Own English High School (Girls) and The Winchester School itself.
There was a certain set of rules and criteria which had to be endorsed by each participant; the link of the theme was to develop an ICT solution for a specific issue of learning by using creative marketing strategies. In addition, the contestants had to use high quality images, animations, sound clarity, transitions and special effects; they also had a choice of using any ICT software.
The Event was a great success where Our Own English High School: Annet Davison, Joann Maria Joseph and Hyfa Sunil Azeez had attained the highest scores by our respected judge Mr.Francis Joseph and won the competition. The creative contestants from this school presented a gadget for young and special needs students called Edutech, it was an embodied artificial intelligence device, where a machine can autonomously carry out useful tasks. They had produced a prototype of this phenomenal gadget and had also produced a brochure for presentation which was very well explained.
The Winchester School secured the second highest points. These bright students (Akshar and Muskaan) created an app which could aid high school education by providing an easy access to past papers and many other resources.
Acquiring the third place was The Winchester School (Calvin Francis, Rumail Azhar and Alden Joseph) where these outstanding students created a ‘Winchester Passport’ which was innovatively presented. This product was intended to achieve academic access for students, parents and teachers such as homeworks, report cards and a lot more.
Lastly, The Cambridge International School students (Aadithya Ganesan and Meirbek Zeinulla) beautifully came up with a ‘Virtual Reality for science’ which was aimed at all science learners to use and extend their scientific knowledge from books to reality by this gadget. This equipment helped in having a real-life scientific experience of a situation such as anatomy.
